Blood Flag

Categories :

The Blutfahne, or blood flag, held great significance as a relic of the NSDAP. It bore the blood of an SA man who lost his life on it during the Munich Beer Hall Putsch on November 8, 1923. This item was revered as a sacred relic and symbol during party celebrations until 1944. SS Jakob Grimminger was the exclusive bearer and guardian of this iconic flag. Annually, during the Reichsparteitag, Hitler conducted a consecration ceremony where he used the Blutfahne to bless other party flags.
